Last weekend I decided to take a look at mainland China’s box office recovery from the inside and took the ferry across to Shenzhen to watch some movies. I saw two Chinese films in multiplexes in the Nanshan district – creature feature The Meg 2: The Trench
Ferries are IMO the most convenient and pleasant way to travel to SZ - 45 minutes from Macau Ferry Terminal to Shekou/Nanshan, which is the nicest part of the city and now has new malls & subway lines. Trains & buses are crowded and the high-speed train overshoots SZ and you end up in some godforsaken place in the north.
